Brewconomy: A Documentary About North Carolina Beer

Brewconomy

Brewconomy is a documentary about North Carolina beer.
Through the voices of brewers, community leaders, government officials, scientists, farmers, business owners and others, Brewconomy tells the story of craft brewing’s affect on agriculture, community and economy. These effects include providing jobs, increasing tax revenue, strengthening community ties, encouraging agricultural innovation, and production and generally improving the overall state economy.
The rise of craft beer is here. Even though it represents less than 10% of the total beer sales in the United States craft beer is growing steadily, especially in North Carolina. Brewconomy explores the growth of Southern beer and its positive impact on the agriculture, community and economy. As educated consumers choose more robust, flavourful beers, how will the state meet demand? Will it reach a tipping point? Or will craft beer bring more great things to North Carolina?
